About the DBBA
The Downtown Burlingame Business Association (DBBA) is a voluntary-membership, nonprofit organization which serves as a vehicle through which downtown Burlingame businesses communicate, cooperate and collaborate on programs and issues of mutual interest such as downtown planning and improvements, parking, disaster preparedness, public safety, beautification, members programs, public events and other neighborhood issues. Please contact the association here, or call (650) 344-1134 for more information. Click here for a membership application.
DBBA Downtown Crime Alert Network
Upon being alerted by the police department of any serious crime in the downtown area, the DBBA in turn sends out email and faxed alerts to our members, alerting the neighborhood of any serious incidents and of the perpetrator's reported profile.
To be alerted as soon as possible of any serious crime incidents in the neighborhood, particularly crimes which include the threat or actuality of bodily harm, please join the DBBA and make sure that we have your current email address or fax number.
Please alert the police department of any suspicious activity, and please alert the DBBA as soon as possible of any serious criminal activity, by calling us at (650) 344-1134 or emailing dbba@cordair.com.
DBBA Members: Please encourage your neighbors who may not already be DBBA members to become members and to join the DBBA neighborhood alert system — the more eyes and ears we have contributing to our neighborhood network, the better informed and safer we'll all be. Thanks for your assistance and for your support of our volunteer association's efforts.
Long-term Parking-permit Program
On behalf of the DBBA, Kevin Osborne Insurance is currently managing the long-term parking-permit program on a volunteer basis. For information about the program, please visit Osborne Insurance on the second floor of the Fox Mall, Monday - Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm, or contact the agency at (650) 347-1717 or through www.kevinosborne.com. The DBBA parking-permit application is available here (pdf file). The parking map showing the location of long-term spaces eligible for permit-parking is available here (pdf file).
Please note: Effective April 1, 2007, the DBBA is distributing Monthly Parking Permits only to local businesses. The company is obligated to specify the employees who will be receiving the Permits and must issue a company check that accounts for the specific employees. Once the applications for all employees are on file, a list of employees and the payment is all that is required from the business. (One payment per business please). All applicants are still required to complete the Parking Permit Application, if not already on file, before the parking permits can be issued.
